Sugar and Spice Gives Back

Sugar and Spice was started in Las Vegas with a mission to give back to the community. Although still small and growing, we have come to realize that although not everyone can do great things, anyone can do small things great. For this reason, we have been able to give in many small ways, whether it be through manpower and volunteer hours or by donating product to events, galas, and auctions. Sugar and Spice has helped organizations working with the homeless, animal rescues, pediatric cancer and foster youth. Sugar and Spice has been recognized by the local Grant a Gift Ackerman Center as a Community Ambassador, partaking in the WORKS Program in a shared partnership to assist clients on the autism spectrum in workforce development. More recently, we have engaged in an incredible partnership with Empower Us and our state’s programming for vocational ed training. Working with young adults with disabilities, Sugar and Spice has created an all-inclusive environment wherein these individuals with intellectual difficulties, social and emotional setbacks, autism or a myriad of other challenges learn everything from health department standards and food handling, production, packaging, and labeling as well as time management, business soft skills and communication. Each session brings on a new set of goals, challenges, and ultimately pride and success in the work they do. What began as a desire to make a small difference in the lives of foster youth by employing those that have aged out of the system has evolved into so much more! While our product speaks for itself, we like everyone to know that each and every box has been made by those striving to learn, grow and better themselves every day. 

We look forward to supporting many more organizations in the community and reaching out to help others in need. The goal is to one day have a budget for monetary donations and assistance of varying degrees with onsite assistance for independent living and life skills, be it mentoring, social assistance or guidance with every day independent living skills.
